It is likely that the pyramid style home was built between 1889-1900 while the property was under the ownership of Edwin Kimball, a stagecoach entrepreneur. He gave it to his sons, who had formed the Kimball Investment Company, in 1918. They owned several properties in town, including their livery stable, which was located where the Kimball Arts Center was at the corner of Park & Heber Avenues.
